Individual Yoga Assessment

In a yang pose, we engage the muscles and stretch them. In the yin practice, we relax the muscles; we aim our intention into the joints and the deep tissues wrapping them, not the more superficial tissues of the muscles or skin.

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Yin Yoga gives insight into the way the body works, how energy flows and even how our minds operate.

Our bodies are all different, preferring some movements while resisting others, holding stress and/or disease in certain areas while energy flows freely in others. The purpose of an Individual Yoga Assessment is to assess what poses will best help your body be more balanced, and then to teach you how to properly hold the poses in order to experience the most benefit.

I will visit you in your home, where I will assess you and design a yoga program specifically for your body, and show you the moves right where you will be practicing it in your home. I will then be at your disposal for any questions/issues that may arrive.

Yoga Assessment Fees and Services:

2-hr yoga assessment and custom-designed yoga program: $200*
*includes consultations with Parvaneh, via email or phone, for a year.

Weekly follow-up sessions: $50 per session*
*suggested minimum of 10 sessions, to achieve maximum benefits
